Dr. Fedintsev is a biogerontologist and a Chief Scientific Officer of the Radical Life Extension group. His scientific background lies in the field of bioinformatics, statistics, and machine learning. Alexander earned his M.S. in Computer Science and worked in the Institute of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy as a bioinformatician. He also collaborated with Professor Alexey Moskalev’s lab on aging research. One of his most important achievements is developing a highly accurate non-invasive biomarker of aging based on markers of the cardiovascular system. At Longaevus, Alexander contributes as a Scientific Advisor, as his research interest is mainly focused on the role of extracellular matrix (ECM) in the aging process. Alexander is the one who suggested a hypothesis that age-related changes in the ECM trigger cellular senescence, which marked the beginning of one of our main directions.
