James Dao

Bioinformatician, Bioinformatics and Data infrastructure

At Longaevus, James is building out data infrastructure and helps automate workflows so that analysts can rapidly iterate on their research. Prior to entering the longevity space, James worked at a high frequency trading firm where he developed a knack for conducting quantitative research and building automated systems. He also is a member of the Bioinformatics Research Network, which is a non-profit that allows junior bioinformaticians to upskill and collaborate on projects with academic institutions. James is interested in epigenetic aging, germline rejuvenation, partial reprogramming, and especially interested in how deep learning and AI interpretability can be used to make sense of the complex biological systems that dictate aging.
